How It All Began: A Fairytale Reunion

Carmen and Victor’s love story began when Carmen was just 17. Though their paths went in different directions after their initial connection, fate had other plans. Years later, their lives intersected once again, and this time, they were reunited for good. After two beautiful years together, Victor orchestrated a proposal straight out of a storybook—complete with a birthday dinner followed by a breathtaking fireworks display. Under the shimmering lights of the night sky, he asked Carmen to be his forever, and of course, she said yes.

A Whimsical Wedding Full of Romance

When it came time to plan their wedding, Carmen envisioned a day filled with romance and a dash of fairy-tale magic. Their wedding was a perfect reflection of that vision, embracing a style that was both romantic and whimsical. From the dreamy décor to the enchanting atmosphere, it felt as though the day had been plucked straight from the pages of a fairy tale.

The Magical Venue: Disney’s Yacht Club Resort

The couple initially dreamed of an outdoor ceremony but decided Disney’s Crescent Cove was the perfect option for their magical day. However, when weather conditions shifted, they made a last-minute decision to move their celebration to the grand ballroom inside Disney’s Yacht Club Resort. The ballroom’s elegant, timeless charm added to the fairy-tale vibe, turning the unexpected change into a blessing in disguise. It created a setting that was as magical as a scene from a royal wedding in a far-off kingdom.

The Best Moment: Pure Magic and Joy

For Carmen, the most magical moment of her wedding day was seeing the pure joy on Victor’s face. “Seeing the smile on my husband’s face made everything perfect,” she said. From the flawless flow of the event to the incredible work of their “marry-makers”, everything came together like a dream.

"I'm still on cloud nine,"

Carmen shared, basking in the joy of her unforgettable day,

“Seeing the smile on my husband’s face made everything perfect”.

The Dream Team Behind the Magic

No fairy tale is complete without a dream team to help bring it to life. Carmen and Victor had their very own squad of “marry-makers” who ensured that every detail was perfect:

- Tracey & Katherine – Disney Day of Coordinator

- Rebecca Swanson – Socially Vowed, Content Creator

- Michelle McKeown and Jenny Peterson – Fairy Tales & Wedding Bells Coordinators

- Pastor Crystal – Ceremony by Crystal, Officiant, also known as Carmen’s “itty bitty pixie”

- Kenya – Enhancing Beauty, Makeup Artist who worked her magic to make Carmen feel like a true princess

- Evan Hampton – Evan Hampton Photography, Photographer extraordinaire

- Jennifer Lauren - JLB PAPERY, Invitations

Carmen affectionately referred to them as her “dream team,” thanking each and every one for the magic they brought to the day. “Thank you all, xoxo,” she said, grateful for the flawless execution of her fairy-tale wedding.

Capturing the Magic: Photographer Evan Hampton

The magic of Carmen and Victor’s wedding was beautifully captured by Evan Hampton, a photographer with a rare gift for storytelling. His lens didn’t just snap photos—it wove a tale. From the soft glances to the joyous laughter, Evan captured every moment in a way that made their wedding look like a scene from a fairy tale movie. His ability to preserve the enchantment of the day ensures that Carmen and Victor will relive their fairy tale each time they flip through their album.

The Dress: A Princess Moment Fit for Ariel

Carmen’s fairy tale continued when she found her dream gown at The Bridal Collection in Centennial, Colorado. She chose a Disney-inspired dress from The Little Mermaid collection, based on Ariel. The gown perfectly captured the essence of her whimsical, romantic day, making Carmen feel like she had stepped straight into her very own fairy tale.

Dapper Groom

Victor looked equally dashing, donning a sleek suit from Men’s Warehouse. His elegant style perfectly complemented the enchanting atmosphere, turning him into the true prince of Carmen’s fairy-tale celebration.

Stationery & Personal Touches

Carmen and Victor worked with Jennifer Lauren to design beautiful custom stationery, including Save the Dates and online itineraries. Each piece reflected the couple’s attention to detail and love for personal touches, adding a layer of elegance to the wedding’s fairy-tale theme.

Planning & Tips for Future Couples

For Carmen and Victor, the most important parts of their wedding were the decorations and food—creating a beautiful atmosphere and ensuring guests enjoyed themselves. To make their dream day come to life, they enlisted the help of Fairy Tales & Wedding Bells, who offered supportive and low-pressure planning assistance, turning their wedding vision into reality.

Carmen’s advice to other couples planning their weddings? “Make sure you have a budget and stick to it.” A simple but invaluable tip that helped the Garnes create a magical day without financial stress.
